Renee Tucker and Sarah OdellRead this week's class news. Renee Tucker and Sarah Odell teach the Primary Team of kindergartners through second graders. Renee is in her twelfth year at GFS, and Sarah is in her second. They have assistance from preschool teacher Barbara Golder. Renee TuckerBefore joining the Primary Team, Renee taught preschool at GFS. She hails from Rhode Island and received her B.A. from Rhode Island College in Special Education/Early Childhood. She has a variety of experiences working with children. She has worked with inner city children in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Providence, Rhode Island. Renee is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children and volunteers at the Bloomsburg Library. She enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and being near the ocean whenever possible. Her son John graduated from GFS and now attends Bloomsburg High School. Sarah OdellRead this week's class news. Sarah lives in Montgomery with her husband of four years, Harry, an equipment operator for PennDOT, and their daughter Kayla, born June 14, 2006. Sarah has experience working with children aged birth through 12. Her experience includes three years of early intervention work, assisting children at risk and with special needs. Sarah gained this experience mostly in Pennsylvania but also on a work and witness trip to Africa, spending the month of January 2001 in Zambia. Sarah earned a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from Messiah College in 2002. She loves to travel, spend time at the beach, read, go fishing and spend time with her family and friends including her basset hound, Elmy. -- Last updated 05-Sep-2006. |
