Primary Team News
Stalking African Mammals . . . in Pennsylvania
Primary Team students saw the largest collection of African mammals and bird eggs in Pennsylvania. They also learned various ways early Native Americans used indigenous plants.
Those were among students' experiences during a field trip to the Oakes Museum at Messiah College in Grantham.
The museum features "Smithsonian quality" exhibits of mammals, birds, eggs, fish, seashells, minerals, insects, and fossils from around the world.
Intermediate Team News
Sleeping Over and Getting Merrily Wet
Students on the Intermediate Team slept overnight at the school.
Students partook of a potluck supper and a run through the sprinkler before bidding parents goodnight.
The after-hours agenda included science, craft, and scrapbooking activities led by parents Rejena Girton and Lee McDonald. Students also watched a movie, ate s'mores, played games, and listened to stories.
Before heading home the next morning, students made pancakes.
Middle School News
Performing Shakespeare
Middle school students staged Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Alvina Krause Theatre in Bloomsburg.

Showing Off Talents
Greenwood Friends School spirit was loud and clear as students joined in the end-of-year talent show.
The annual event featured singing, skits, magic tricks, piano duets, and demonstrations of tai chi, archery, and fencing.
Ice Cream Treats
GFS students ended the academic year with ice cream sundaes from Brennan's Big Chill in Bloomsburg.
Mick Myers, a longtime school volunteer who was keynote speaker at this year's eighth-grade graduation, provided the treat on the final day of classes.
