Rachel Verstraeten
Rachel Verstraeten is in her first year as physical education teacher at GFS.
As a child, Rachel attended Greenwood Friends School's preschool program. She then attended and graduated from Central Columbia. She received a B.S. in health and physical education from Marian College in Indianapolis.
During college, Rachel volunteered as a teacher of children of varying learning abilities, including special needs students. She also played varsity soccer and was named a first-team Scholar Athlete All-American. She also served as a peer tutor, class officer, Kappa Delta Pi secretary, and resident assistant.
She loves to coach and work with athletes and is currently the head girls' varsity soccer coach and assistant girls' basketball coach at Central Columbia High School. In her spare time, Rachel also enjoys playing board games and spending time with family and friends.
