7/2 Arrived at Pearl Harbor having traveled a total of 16,512 miles in 158 days during the shuttle runs. Upon partial discharging at Pearl, deck cargo in the form of aviation fuel, oxygen containers and building materials were added and the ship departed for Pago Pago, Samoa. This date marked the commencement of a new supply run for the Aldebaran whish was to be continued during the long and arduous battle for the Solomons.
