Allot. #2830, Age 60, full blood Cheyenne, number in family, wife.
Date of Survey: April 14, 1922.
Home on Bernitz Creek seven miles northwest of Clinton, Okla.
Goose is quite an old man and he and his wife make their home in a one room house located on the allotment, which is near the home of his son, Flynn. He is too old to work regularly but assists his son as much as his physical condition will permit. He has four horses. I visited his home on the afternoon of April 14, 1922, arriving at the place at 3:00 p.m. in company with the Agency Physician and the District Farmer. No sickness was found in the family.

Flynn Goose, not allotted, 28 yrs. old, full blood Cheyenne, citizen, wife and 2 children.
Home located on Barnitz Creek, 7 miles northwest of Clinton, Okla.
Date of survey, April 14, 1922.
I visited this Indian in the company with the Agency Farmer and Agency Physician on the afternoon of April 14, 1922, reaching there about 3:00 p.m. I found the Indian listing corn with four very nice horses pulling the lister. Flynn was not allotted and lives on part of his mothers allotment. Some of which is cultivated by him, and he also farms a part of his fathers allotment.
He has a three room house in fair repair, barn 20 X 30 ft. with hay mow and grain bins, chicken house, well, cistern, wind mill. He has four horses, two cows, two calves, 12 chickens.
He has ten acres of excellent alfalfa, some of which was sowed this spring, 80 acres of corn, 4 acres of oats. He also plans to have an excellent garden.
This Indian served about six months in the training camps during the recent war.
His implements consist of a two row monitor, hack, wagon, harness, mowing machine, lister, and sled cultivator. this young man is to be complimented for his industry. He makes a very good showing.

Mouse Road, (Nephew of Standing Bird), allotment #2434, age 41, full blood Cheyenne, patentee status, wife and two 2 children.
This Indian resides about 5 north east of Clinton, Okla., and I visited his home on April 27, 1922, in company with the Agency Physician and District Farmer. Mouse Road was given a patent to his allotment during 1917 and has not sold it up to this time, although, I understand he has it mortgaged.
He has a two room house with porch, in good repair, cistern, shed barn and chicken house. His implements consist of a wagon and harness, and he cultivates 15 acres of his land. the balance of the allotment, being 135 acres is in pasture land. He has a good garden, and has 15 acres in corn and kafir corn. He also has three horses and three dozen chickens.
Issac Goose, (Issac Roads) and his wife and their baby, reside with Mouse Road. No sickness was found in the family.

I visited this home in company with the Agency physician and District farmer on the afternoon of the above date.
Standing Bird resides about 5 miles northeast of Clinton, Oklahoma, on Turtle Creek. He is quite old and unable to do but very little manual labor. He has a three room house with porches, small barn, cistern, wagon, five horses, 2 dozen chickens, monitor and a lister. He has an excellent garden.
His son, Meserve Standing Bird, and son-in-law, Frank Reynolds, and families reside with him and the young men cultivate about 70 acres. There is six acres of excellent alfalfa on the allotment and the balance of the cultivated land is planted to corn and kafir.
The children of Standing Bird attend the public schools of Clinton, Oklahoma.
No sickness was found in the family.

Peter Bird Chief (Standing Bird) Allot. #159, age 43, full blood Cheyenne, wife and 1 child. (Peter Bird Chief is nephew of Standing Bird. He is named after Standing Bird. Not to be confused with Standing Bird, the son-in-law of Medicine Water)
I visited this home on the afternoon of April 27th, 1922. He resides on the allotment of his wife about 5 miles northeast of Clinton, Oklahoma, on Turtle Creek. This Indian is one of the prized farmers of this jurisdiction and compares quite favorably with the average white farmer. He has a three room house recently put into good repair inside and out, barn 30 X 40 ft., cistern, chicken house, and a concrete storm cave.
His implements consist of a binder, mower, hay rake, two monitors, lister, cultivator, wagon, hack, buggy and he also has four sets of harness, two plows, eight head of horses, 2 colts, 8 cows, 3 calves, one goat, and four dozen chickens.
He has an excellent garden, and cultivating approximately 120 acres of land planted to corn and wheat, kafir and millet.

John Wilson, allotment #1005, age 43, full blood, patentee, wife and 4 children. (John Wilsons son, Frank Wilson, was son-in-law of Standing Bird)
Date of Survey: April 27, 1922.
I visited this home on the afternoon of the date above in company with the Agency Physician and the District Farmer. This home is located 1 1/2 miles northwest of Clinton, Oklahoma, on the Washita River. He has a two room house recently put into good repair, shed barn, well and pump, and the place is quite well fenced.
He has a wagon. harness, four horses, grain binder, and other  necessary tools, as well as 24 chickens and five hogs. He has a good garden and 40 acres planted to corn and kafir corn. In additition to his own farming activities, he hires out quite a lot to his neighbors. No sickness was found in the family.

Curious Horn, age 65, Allotment #668A, full blood Cheyenne, wife and grand-child. (Brother-in-law to Standing Bird)
Date of Survey: April 27, 1922.
I visited this home on the afternoon of April 27, 1922, in company with the Agency Physician and the District Farmer. His home is located 2 miles northwest of Clinton, Oklahoma, on the Washita River. He has a three room house in good repair, shed barn, wind mill, well, chicken house and a concrete cave.
He has a wagon, buggy, hack, 2 sets of harness, cultivator, monitor, and three horses. He has a good garden and has 15 acres planted to corn and kafir corn.
No sickness found in the family.
Curious Horn is an old man and unable to do but very little labor.


Darwin Hayes, age 46, full blood Cheyenne, patentee, wife and four children. ( 1/2 Brother to Squint Eye, POW).
Date of Survey: April 7, 1922
This Indian resides in what is known as west camp two miles north of Hammon, Oklahoma. He has a one room house, cistern, wagon, lister, sled cultivator, and a storm cave. Two of his children of school age attend the Red Moon Day School. He has ten acres planted to corn and has an excellent garden.
No sickness found in the family.


Stacy Riggs, allotment #147, age 60, full blood Cheyenne, wife and four children.
Date of Survey: May 5, 1922.
This Indian resides about eight miles southeast of Clinton, Oklahoma, near the Washita River. He has four children, two of whom are attending non-reservation schools.
He has a four room house with porches, cistern, good barn 20X 30 ft., wagon, plow, lister, disc, four horses and one colt, and six chickens. He has eight acres of alfalfa and 25 acres planted to corn and kafir corn.
One of his children was found to have impetigo and was treated by the Agency Physician.
