"James A. Sherwin
James A. Sherwin, 85, of Northern Cambria, died April 8, 2001.
He was born March 5, 1916, in Barnesboro, son of Albert and Agnes
(Brown) Sherwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bob Sherwin and an
infant brother.
Survived by his wife of 62 years, E. Louise (Tatters) Sherwin; and
son, Larry, married to Carolyn Drotar, R.D. Cherry Tree. Also four
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Isaac
"Ike" Sherwin, Ohio; Ernie Sherwin, Florida; Helen Lang, Maryland; and
Barry Sherwin, Colorado.
Mr. Sherwin retired from Barnes & Tucker Co. Member of Masonic Lodge
#574, Coalport. Avid fisherman and Penn State football fan.
Friends were received from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. April 10 at the Moriconi
Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral services will be
held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, Pastor Peter Foley officiating.
Interment, North Barnesboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 910 Chestnut Ave.,
Northern Cambria, PA 15714."

William B. Parker
BROCKTON -- William B. Parker, 76, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997 in Brockton Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer. He was the husband of Margaret "Peg" (Lauerty) Parker. Born in Barnesboro, Pa., son of the late Harry and Hilda (Sherwin) Parker, he was a 1938 graduate of Abington High School and had lived in Abington for 75 years. Mr. Parker had worked for Nelson Cement and Stone Co. in Braintree as a concrete mixer operator, for the National Wool Co. as a grader of wool and later for the Brockton Enterprise, retiring after 32 years with the newspaper. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was an avid sportsman who belonged to the Wednesday night bowling league. He enjoyed his family and loved to travel. In addition to his widow, survivors include two sons, Richard Parker of Hudson and Ronald Parker of Dartmouth; a brother, Ralph Parker of Abington; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m Saturday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Whitman. Arrangements are by the Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
PARKER -- Of No. Abington, March 18, William B., age 76, husband of Margaret "Peg" (Lauerty) Parker, father of Richard Parker of Hudson and Ronald Parker and his wife Cindy of Dartmouth; brother of Ralph Parker of Abington; grandfather of Renee' Mahoney and Michael Parker both of Hanson, Ryan Parker of Boston and Todd Parker of New Bedford; great-grandfather of Meghan Mahoney of Hanson; uncle of several nieces and nephews.
