Rev. Walter C. Roe to Comm. F.E Leupp, 38 West 39th St., N.Y. City, Oct. 29,
1907.

Alice (often called Ella) Butts, 24 year old Cheyenne, has congenital hip trouble, T.B. the last few years. Exceptionally bright, educated at Mission School, Carlisle later. Determined not to be unduly influenced by her people. Rev. Roe convinced 80 acres of her land could be sold for 8 to $10,000. This girl is particularly competent.
