Two for the Price of One

Power Plant Hill and a Kirby Park Encore

"Cachier," says I, "It's gonna hit 50° today - we gotta get out." And so, we did, to a beautiful hill up over the west sideof the Susquehanna, right around Harding.

It was a beautiful spring day, and after suffering terminal cabin fever since back around Thanksgiving, it felt great to get out. The blue sky seemed to be reflected in the snow.

Some little creature preceded us up the hill, but I don't think he was looking for the cache. If he was, he was way off the mark. Perhaps the batteries in his GPS were low.

There's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing last year's leaves slowly emerging from under this year's snow.

Getting to the cache was pretty easy. Finding it was an entirely different story because it was covered with snow. But we did, of course. We always do. Well, almost always.

A very happy hiker. Spring will come again!

But not for a while.

And then, since we were flush with victory, we decided to do another one. In Kirby Park, so how hard could that be? Well, it was under one of those rocks. Took us a while to figure out which one, but we did.

So nice to be back in the groove! Come along next time, you'll enjoy it!
