Some of My Thoughts
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I do believe there is Good and Evil. Hundreds of
millions of years ago on this planet there began an abundance of life. Evil
must have been present when life developed to the point where suffering was
present. Most species suffer from hunger and find it necessary to kill in order
to survive, it is a part of the design. All life suffers and dies. In that
process there is always great pain and therefore the evil that has caused it.
All part of the predator nature in the cruel design that is life.
Who is responsible for this design which makes
necessary pain and evil ? The creator may have found it necessary to permit
evil when giving free will to humans, but is this also true of dinosaurs ?
Humans were not present until much later in creation, in the last
"second" of a very long process. No excuses can explain away the responsibility
in creation. In terms of suffering, the Nazi Holocaust was minute in comparison
to hundreds of millions of years of individuals being eaten alive and countless
other horrors. Was Satin there from the beginning ? Because there is good,
there must be evil ?
Where does good come from ? When someone stops
and bends down to pick up a suffering worm off the concrete and places him back
in the grass. When someone stops on the highway to rescue a turtle facing a
certain crushing death. One such act accomplishes more then a lifetime of
sitting in a pew praying without any action. Only a few species have a real
choice about how they will live, with the exception of humans those choices are
limited. Only humans have complete freedom to choose how they will live, and we
must often fight against evil to defend that freedom.
In all of creation, the creator god has not
taken the responsibility to stop evil and suffering. Some face this delema by
stating that god will compensate us in an eternal afterlife. If this is true as
is my hope, then heaven must be crowded with millions of species and trillions
of individuals who have lived and suffered without having much choice of how
they lived. Complete compensation to all who have suffered. We humans alone
have the full responsibility to stop suffering and evil in this existence. The
horrible practice of torturing innocent animals by: long term chaining,
vivisection, neglect, slaughter, and destroying their homes should condem those
evil doers to eternal hell where there will be no kindness.
Who is responsible for evil ? Since only a few
species have a very limited choice about how they will live, they can not be
responsible for their suffering. Humans however are alone with greater choice
and therefore total responsible. People who selfishly buy a puppy instead of
rescuing a dog waiting in a shelter are on the side of evil. They encourage the
puppy mill and other breeders who add to the misery by increasing the number of
dogs, at a time when over population has lead to homelessness and suffering.
They are selfish and irresponsible, they do nothing to fight evil, and so have
joined it.
Millions of individuals of many species suffer
and die every year in the testing of unnecessary products for selfish humans.
Millions are forced to suffer horribly with no compensation, in the testing of
drugs that need to be retested on humans anyway. The government legislates and
enforces laws to protect humans but neglects to protect the other species in
our care. Under our dominion means our responsibility. We spend far more time
and money killing them then we do healing and protecting them.
When hurricane Catharina hit New Orleans,
thousands of pets were abandoned, many suffered and died, many are still
suffering. Those who abandoned them thought only of themselves. They were not
responsible, they had no effective plan to provide safety for those in their
care. They knew they were in a dangerous situation but decided to live there
anyway. Many did not even have insurance or think ahead about transport. When
good people helped with temporary homes, those homes were destroyed. Good
people are responsible people, evil people are not.
Wasting resources such as water and electricity,
heating rooms that are not in use, or wasting food is all evil. Poluteion is
the result of waste. Neglecting to change a bad government is evil. A good
person has a plan to leave the world a better place. Typically, people think
that the World's problems are not our fault and we deserve to have all the
things that we need. Good people often get stuck with the evil deeds of others
but we still must choose to be good and persue justice for all. Justice in this
life was not provided in the creation scheme it is up to us to make it happen.
You can start now.

Some of my thoughts and some of others under consideration
comments welcome
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lobbying:
Elected representatives should represent their
voters only, as they are paid to do. Interest groups should influence voters
directly, not their representatives. Lobbying is just another word for bribes,
the lobbyists and their bosses can vote any way they please, they can advertise
and publish their openion to the public, but should not interfere with my
representative.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gun Laws:
Make it illegal for a lawbreaker to have a
weapon, the only gun law required. Then law enforcement will not be hindered.
Respect the Constitution and Amendments as is.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Population:
By far, the greatest problem on Earth is too
many people. The only effective way to stop war and famine is with birth
control. The Popes have therefore caused more suffering then any other human.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Animals Emotions:
Could it be that if we admit that animals feel
emotions such as fear, loneliness, and depression, we might be forced also to
admit that we do not have the right to subject them to the terror of: factory
farm, slaughterhouse, laboratory, fur farm, and other environments where
animals are manipulated, tortured, and killed ? When we see what humans
continue to do to our animal brethern - endless cruelity in the way of
abandonment, indifference, experimentation, vivisection, etc. we must ask, do
humans have feelings ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sports:
Professional sports are redicoulius. If someone
wants to play a sport, let them, it is good exercise, but not employment. It
gives the wrong idea to children (& some adults), it is not productive, it
is play. People should be free to participate after their work is completed.
Watching sports on TV is not a sport, but a pastime for the idle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Responsibility:
America’s greatest problem is a breakdown of the
assumption of personal responsibility.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Criminals:
Some people are actually so irresponsible that
they do not have enough put away for their own funerals. By what age should a
person have provided their own funeral expense ? Anyone in this country with
reasonable health and a willingness to work and travel can be self supporting.
People who pass their obligations and responsibilities to others are criminals.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The future is not predetermined, it is made.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Life is not a rehearsal, you only have one
opportunity, do not waste a moment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Candidates for medical experiments for the betterment of mankind:
1 traitors
2 child molesters,
murders, rapists, thieves and other criminals (helps to pay their debts)
3 scabs (work should
not be stolen from those who have earned their positions)
4 other forms of low
life that do not pay their debts or spend more then they earn
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Justice should have 3 parts:
1 repayment to
victims, law enforcement, and incarceration costs
2 incarceration (so they can’t do it again, at their expense)
3 punishment, this is not part of 1 or 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone who would intentionally hurt an animal for pleasure would
also hurt children for the same reason. Hunting for food is forced upon us, but
only a pervert enjoys the killing. Since the invention of chemical birth
control (now used successfully with many animals) killing is no longer
necessary to control populations.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Japan’s defense is subsidized by the U.S. at a cost of $ 42
billion per year. Their form of government is national socialism. The
abbreviation of which is Nazi.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The U.S. has sponsored the Zionist movement which has stolen and
occupied the Palestinian homeland. The Zionists are Europeans, not Hebrews.
Hebrews were Arabs. We have armed them for 60 years and millions have suffered
as a result. Now we should sponsor the Palestinians for 60 years to repay them
(in a peaceful way) for the suffering the U.S. has caused them. Do we need a
Christian homeland ? Governments based on religion are called theocracies. What
would the founding fathers think !
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The U.S.A. is the largest Arms Dealer in the
World yet claims to be on the side of peace. The U.S.A. spends hundreds of
billions of dollars influencing small countries but claims to be on the side of
democracy. We should take the moral high ground, a position of respect.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Death Penalty:
To determine it's effectiveness as a deterrent, one must find out
what percentage of murders have witnessed executions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starving children around the world are the responsibility of their
parents, not charity. Don't feel guilty, be angry.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Social Security System is a pyramid scheme and therefore
should be illegal. It is an extreme of Socialism. yet the Republican party
wants to save it !!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The way toward establishing independence from
oil is to reduce the supply, not to fight wars in order to guarantee it. duh.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Great ideas from other cultures:
In Greece, you go to jail for abandoning a dog.
In Sweden, stray dogs do not exist and virtually everyone who has
a dog has insurance to pay for veterinary care.
In addition, there is no
such thing as walking into a shop and purchasing a dog or a cat.
In Germany, "declawing" a cat is illegal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vivisection:- The American Anti-Vivisection
Society
Between 25 and 50 million animals are killed in
American laboratories each year. Hundreds of species are used including mice,
rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, cats, dogs, monkeys, chimpanzees. They are
burned, starved, irradiated, shocked, mutilated, kept in isolation, poisoned,
drugged, electrocuted, etc. Vivisection harms people as well as animals, by
wasting time, effort and money on research of little or no benefit.
Over 95% of the increase of our life expectancy
is due to sanitation and lifestyle improvements as well as medical discoveries
made through non-animal techniques. Many drugs that have been shown to be safe
in animal models have gone on to seriously injure or kill people. It produces
inaccurate and dangerous results and wastes enormous amounts of precious time
and resources on an archaic methodology while promising new techniques are
ignored. Millions of animals suffer and die each year in testing of cosmetic,
personal care, and household products.
Animal tests are horrifying. Laboratory workers
place products in the eyes of restrained rabbits who are unable to rub their
eyes or otherwise give themselves any relief. Rabbits¹ eyes do not produce
tears to flush irritants from their eyes. Highly concentrated products are
applied to the bare skin of shaved rodents. This results in severe burning of
the skin. Workers also force-feed animals enormous quantities of products in
"50/100 tests" until half,
then until all of the animals die. During these tests individuals endure
excruciatingly pain, convulsions, loss of motor function, and uncontrollable
seizures.
The only people trying to stop these horrors are
ridiculed for doing it.

health
care 101
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As long as there are working U.S. American
citizens that can not afford quality health care, the “system” is not working.
Poor health weakens our economy and national defense. Indifference and neglect
to the ill is often immoral and un- American. The only way to correct this is
to eliminate the unnecessary costs and make medical care efficient and
affordable. This requires free enterprise and competition within the medical
industry to make it cost competitive. Health insurance companies have taken
control, and typically add 40% to medical costs while they exclude those most
in need of care, and exclude necessary types of care. Some form of cost
averaging is unfortunately also unavoidable.
Unnecessary costs are:
Insurance companies thousands of unproductive people, skyscrapers etc.,
providing no medical care
Government Intervention except for licensing and standards
Lawyers when
patients can select quality professionals, the inept will go out of business
Unproductive paperwork it is more efficient to bill per day rates, as many businesses do,
not individual billing
delays in seeking care lack of preventative care due to current high cost
Unhealthy lifestyles intentional bad habits should be costly
Pollution unhealthy
/ poor working and living conditions
Drug abuse related
damages should by paid for by the abusers
Crime care
for injuries from assaults should by paid for by the criminals
Irresponsible lifestyles AIDS
Unfair working conditions slave pay resulting in poor, or no
health care
Price gauging when
individuals have to pay service costs out of pocket they must be reasonable
but if costs are paid by insurance, costs
skyrocket (i.e. auto body mechanic)
third party insurers employers that decide for you,
"benefits" can be applied to medical savings accounts
Employers should not be in the health care
insurance business - this is unfair to employers, self employed, unemployed,
and retired persons and their families. Free enterprise can work only if
services are purchased directly by the customer where they can choose the most
suitable service for the best price (free market capitalism). Employees should
be paid directly not through "health benefits". People should be free
to choose their own care options and fund their own health savings.
Even with these large reductions in cost,
Medical expenses could still be too expensive for some less fortunate people
with serious chronic health problems. Non profit risk sharing co-ops are
necessary for some major expenses. Normally medical expenses would be paid out
of the "Medical Expense Account" owed by the individual or family
receiving the care.
Individuals can not always provide entirely for
their own health care (we can not each own a hospital). Therefore a cooperative
system is necessary, the same as in infrastructure of roads and utilities,
education, or national defense. Private medical savings accounts will have to
pay for those "Major Medical" situations as well as the routine. But
unlike the present "insurance system", licensed medical providers
would have to rely on non profit co-ops funded from savings accounts. This
would be at lease better then defaults from people who can not or will not pay
their expenses. It would not be price control, but the resources in each
community would have limits, a real life condition that should not be a
problem. At some point, averaging costs between the fortunate healthy and the
unfortunate unhealthy is necessary. If completely neglected, the problem is
passed to government welfare. The key is no expenses that are parasitic, just
medical services with a minimal, cost sharing, non profit, community co-op to
guarantee reasonably payment to medical services in "Major Medical"
situations. For normal payments, services should invoice the same as other
businesses.
A family earning $ 25 / hr. typically receives
about $ 5 / hr. in medical benefits. The $ 5 should go directly into the tax
free Medical Savings Account, about $ 10,000 per year. In this much more
efficient system, the average medical expenses are now much less then the $
10,000. Part of the difference must go to the co-op. - less then is now going
to waste. The problem here would be full disclosure of these Medical Savings
Accounts to prevent cheaters, and getting full participation.
If a monopoly (a license) is to be granted to a
medical professional or institution, then they should be bound to reasonable
rates, the same as utility companies.
Drivers are required to have liability insurance
so that victims in an accident can get compensation (does not always work that
way). The function of the co-op is to insure that the medical services get
paid, when patients find that impossible. There is no way around that, some
people that require care will always be without the means, the best system is
one that minimizes the waste and maximizes the efficiency, without restricting
the care. Support of a medical cost averaging co-op would have to be mandatory
just like liability insurance is for drivers so that responsible payers do not additionally
get stuck with the non payer expenses. At least with a greatly reduced overall
cost, the overall cost would be far less expensive to everyone then the current
situation. All the savings can go into a healthier economy and estate building
when the accounts are closed.
The problems that I would most anticipate are:
First, Communities that are so ill that the cost sharing "tax" on the
Medical Savings Accounts would have to be excessive. Then that community had
better have a good look at the reasons; move that chemical plant away or
increase the P.T. program at the schools. Second, how to implement all these measures
without big government interfering. It would take remarkable community leaders
with considerable skills and determination. It would take a long time and
insurance companies would make it very difficult. Hopefully good results in
small communities would lead toward greater participation.
It is ridiculous to think that many people would
abuse a partially shared cost system by asking for unneeded care. I know of no
medical procedure that is enjoyable other then the "tube" * exam, and
that only from the doctors perspective.
* an
acronym used between doctors for a "Totally
Unnecessary Breast Exam"
commonly preformed on young women.
The rules of supply and demand have been
distorted by the government in reducing the number of students that are
permitted to enter medical school. Another item worth mentioning, if the
government backed medical research with the mountains of money they waste on
foolish programs and loosing wars, there would be more cures discovered and
less need for the most expensive care. Also the full cost of national defense
(or just mistaken national policy) should be 100% in the defense budget. That
means all care costs associated with on duty military personal health problems,
current and future.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fringe Benefits:
The practice of wage payment partially by
“fringe benefits” is counter productive. People should receive direct payment
according to what they, or their bargaining unit are worth. Wages in any viable
industry would then be sufficient to afford all reasonable costs of living with
the possible exception of extreme medical expenses. This would allow free
enterprise to function, help make a fair tax system possible, and create an
even playing field for people who would purchase those benefits (not different
rates for groups, but a competitive environment for all). Every able bodied
person should control, and be responsible for their own living expenses,
pension and retirement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Employers are burdened by involvement in employees health care
through insurance. Very stupid, this eliminates the free enterprise system.
Neither employers or insurance companies should get involved in the area of
medicine. Leave that to the health care professionals and their patients. Cost
sharing already occurs with the Socialist Medicare program, in most places
child & adult welfare programs, Veterans compensation, etc. Other
individuals can join non profit cost sharing groups or "Co-Ops"
contracting facilities on a competitive basis. There are also government
programs called tax exempt savings accounts, this should apply to all types of
income at an equal tax rate. People should also be free to bargain individually
if they choose.
At the core of the problem is the insurance companies and other
leaches that account for most of the extreme cost of health care. The current
system discourages preventative care. The government should stay out of it
except for the department of health maintaining good standards and practices
and issuing medical licenses or testing of medical professionals. Judges who
award ridiculous amounts to victims of malpractice should be terminated. Rates
for use of facilities and hourly pay rates for medical personal should be
posted. This would encourage competitive and reasonable costs. The best care
would get the best pay.
The best way to control medical costs is to control disease. This
requires public education and centralized research and prevention. The
reduction of substances that cause disease such as vinyl.
Medical research that benefits the country should be tax
exempt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A responsible government should never have any
debt. It should tax only enough to pay for expenses authorized by taxpayers.
Money should be set aside for emergencies.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
