Zarathu Total Immersion Astrology©
---Meet Your Astrologer---
Zarathu was born in a
little town in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania, USA, on May 23, 1949
at 6:23 AM EDT. His real name is Eric J. Uberseder, and in his world of professional
psychology, this is the name he uses. He grew up as the eldest
in a family of four, where the parents were both professional musicians, and
though he didn't follow that path, he developed a love of music, as well as
learning to play the violin and saxophone.
His childhood was not remarkable except for his aloneness from his peers.
He went on to study psychology at Lebanon Valley College, and took a graduate
degree in Counseling Psychology at West Chester University. His professional
counseling career spans more than thirty years in private residential psychiatric
treatment facilities and public schools, specializing in children, and developmental
growth. In 1968 while still an undergraduate, he began studying astrology.
This would prove to be the other intellectual love of his life, and the love
of many
previous lives. He was influenced earliest by the writings of Alice A. Bailey
in ESOTERIC ASTROLOGY. During this early work, he also began studying
with the Arcane School in New York, which is the teaching branch of the esoteric
studies center started by Alice A. Bailey. He remained a student within the
school until 1995. While his early studies centered on esoteric astrology,
he maintained a connection to exoteric astrology studying writings of Dane
Rudyhar, Noel Tyl, Lewellyn, Mark Edmund Jones, and Sepharial. In the mid
1980's, he discovered the writings of the greatest astrologer of the
20th century, Ivy Marie Goldstein-Jacobson.
Zarathu studied IVY avidly and to his knowledge is the only one who possesses
an annotated index of all her books. He was lucky enough to study with the
astrologer, Kt Boehrer, who was a personal student of IVY GOLDSTEIN JACOBSON
for almost 25 years. Ms. Boehrer is most famous for the discovery the power
of declination in the chart, and the development of a the Boehrer Conversion
to Longitude, as well as writing her own volume Declination: The Other
Dimension
Zarathu has a more than 4000 year association with Ms. Boehrer, over many
lives.
Zarathu is a man of deep religious belief. He is member of The Religious
Society of Friends, and is quite active in his Yearly Meeting in many capacities.
He has been married for almost 30 years to a teacher who founded a Quaker
Elementary School. He has two children both in a Quaker-related College in
the Midwest, USA, one of whom has more than 100 web references on the subject
of peace and human rights in the middle east.
