We welcome everyone to St. Peter's. In order to make your adaptation to our church as easy as possible, we have included on this page some answers to frequently asked questions and a map of the layouts of the main floor and the basement of the church.
If you have a question email the webmaster and we will post the answer here.
There are two services every week (except on special occasions). The first is at 8:00 a.m. and the second is at 10:15 a.m. There is also a 5:00 p.m. service on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
Nursery services are available at the 10:15 AM service. Children may be taken downstairs to Fellowship Hall, where an attendant will care for them during the service.
Sunday School starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m. There is no Sunday School program during the summer.
Sunday School is held in the basement of the church in Fellowship Hall, and in various classrooms upstairs.
Yes. It meets at 9 AM in the Pastor's office and is taught by his wife, Christina Terhune.
There are two. Each is in the alcove inside the two front entrances to the church.
The community table is on the main floor of the church against the wall near the overflow area. The community table is used to distribute and deposit information for many church organizations.
There are 2 restrooms. One is on the main floor to the left of the altar area and the other is downstairs in the hallway next to the kitchen.
The church office and the pastor's office are both in the rear of the church. Turn right when entering the rear entrance and the offices will be on your left.
10. How do I volunteer?
See the pastor or anyone on the Stewardship Committee for information on volunteering in any capacity. There is also a place on the bulletin insert which you can fill out to volunteer. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please read the committee member guidelines here.
11. How do I sign up for bulletins or flowers?
There is a sign up board on the wall of the north narthex (at the right front entrance) for flowers and bulletins. Bulletins are $5.00. The money for bulletins can be put in an envelope marked "bulletin sponsor" and placed in the offering plate on Sunday. You can also mail it to the office or drop it off.
To place flowers at the altar for Sunday services, call a local florist and tell them what you want and they will deliver them and bill you directly. Local florists who deliver often to St. Peter's are Albanese of Wind Gap, Lynn's Flowers and Gift Shop of Nazareth, and Bob's Florist of Pen Argyl. However, you may contact any florist that you choose.
12. Where and when is coffee hour held?
Coffee hour is held every Sunday (except during the summer) in "St. Peter's Cafe" next to the overflow area, behind the south narthex.
