We need a support group for those of use caught up in the anguish of Visitation and support of children who happen to be our step children. It is expected that we provide warmth, love, food, personal care and support for part time children. At all times the invisible line between parent and stepparent must not be crossed. This process is especially difficult with small children who require/demand much attention. You put your heart and soul into caring for these children knowing the whole time, at any given moment, you may never see them again.

This is one more area that could be easier to deal with if the court system enforced existing visitation orders the way they enforce support orders.
