Last Will and Testament
Of
Nancy Thompson
Know all ye men by these presents that
I Nancy Thompson of the Township of East Deer, County of Allegheny and State
of Pennsylvania in view of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death
at such time as an all wise Providence shall ordain do hereby declare and
subscribe the following as my will which I desire all persons to respect
after my death to wit:
I give and bequeath to my son Henry Thompson two hundred
dollars to be positively used for the use of his family one hundred dollars
to be paid after my death the other hundred to be paid one year after my
death –
I give and bequeath to my son James M. Thompson sixty
dollars also four hogs.
I give and bequeath one hundred dollars to my son William
C. Thompson.
I give and bequeath to my three daughters Elizabeth Wilson,
Annie Row and Mary Jane Thompson all my household goods to be divided among
them when Mary Jane gives up housekeeping.
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Jane Thompson
my horse buggy & harness two cows and three hogs and any money or goods
that may be left after paying any debts and funeral expenses.
It is also my will that Archibald Pillow be and is hereby
declared my executor to carry this will into effect, and if any dispute arise
in the division of my goods my executor to make the division and his decision
to be final. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this
11th day of January AD 1876.

Be it known that on the Twentieth day
of January AD 1875 before me Joseph N Gray Registrar of wills & in and
for the County aforesaid came John Henderson and on the Twenty ninth day
of January 1875 came Matthew Boreland the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing
last will and testament of Nancy Thompson decd. And on their solemn oath
did say they were present and did see and hear Nancy Thompson the testatrix
therein named sign (by making her mark) publish and declare the same as and
for her last will and testament and at the time of so doing was of clear
and disposing mind and memory is to the best of their knowledge & belief,
and at her request and in her presence they subscribed their names as witnesses
thereto.
Given under my hand this 29th day of January AD 1875
