11/8/14 Hampton “I arrived at Hampton Sept 22 and find this to be a very nice school indeed. I am really glad I came, for I think  can get just the course I need. I have entered the Domestic Science course and going to school at night and I think it is very nice to know more than mere books. I made Senior Middle Class, so I only have 2 years here... I shall always hold Carlisle in mind, for she is the one to start me on the road I am traveling now. I also read the little Arrow which comes to Hampton every Saturday to learn what dear Old Carlisle and her pupils are doing. It seems like a home letter to read it.”
