About the Park

The Tunkhannock Riverside Park is located along the shores of the beautiful Susquehanna River in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. The Park is open from dawn to dusk each day except when the ice rink is in operation when the park remains open until 10 pm.

  • Walking Paths (Pick up walking guide at park kiosk)
  • Boat Access to the Susquehanna River
  • Ice Rink (seasonal & very weather dependent)
  • Basketball Court (recently completed)

Recent Activities

This past winter saw the first year of operation of the Riverside Ice Rink (click here for more information). The rink saw over 1000 skaters and was a great success.

This year's concert / arts series sponsored by the Endless Mountains Council of the Arts is turning out to be quite a success. Their most recent event, "Rock the Park" drew over 300 people to the Park

Organization & Support

The Riverside Park is owned by the Borough of Tunkhannock and is administered by the Riverside Park Commission which consists of the following members:

The Commission meets in the Triton Hose House at 7 p.m. on the 1st Wednesday of each month. The public is welcome.

Funding for the park's maintenance is provided via a perpetual trust established in memory of Dwight Evans. Other funding for park operations comes from private and public donations, state and federal grants, and various fundraising activities.
