Windshield and Glareshield

The glareshield is made of black formica. Wrap, mark, cut, rivit.

To pad and finish the edge of the glareshield, slit vinyl tubing was first glued in place. Over this I wrapped foam pipe insulation trimed around the downtubes.

Trimming the windshield to fit is easily accomplished with a sharp plane. This is my favorite small plane - a Stanley #90 bullnose rabbet plane. I imagine a sureform tool would also work well. Sand the sharp corners off the edges after shaping.
