Setting That Pesky 1 Degree of Toe-in




Here's the quick n' easy method shown me by Ed Crouse. Place a straightedge across the front of the tires. Block up the straightedge if necessary so that it's at axle height off the floor. Place a framing square off the straightedge alongside the wheel. Rotate the axle stub till the measurement from the square to the rim of the wheel at 'A' is 1/8" less than the measurement at 'B'. If it's touching the rim at 'A', 'B' is 1/8". The difference with 5 or 6 inch wheels is negligible. Drill the gear leg carefully checking to make sure nothing moves. Bolt it. Do the other side. Done. 15 minutes.
