THE ERRANT STOREFRONT
A shopper puts a deposit on a pair of running shoes in a large shopping
mall. When she returns a week later to claim the shoes, the shoestore has
vanished from its previous location. As the perplexed shopper is about to
leave the mall, she suddenly notices the exact same shoestore in an
entirely new location in a different wing of the plaza. In some variations,
the store has remained in its original location but has expanded in size.
THE DISAPPOINTING ENTREE
A local gourmand has been raving for weeks to his best friend about the
pasta dish he was recently served in a new restaurant. When he finally
returns to the restaurant with his friend and they both order the fantastic
dish, the friend finds the speciality to be mediocre at best, and the first
diner must admit that he agrees.
THE MATCHED CLOTHING
Two women who work together, each of whom owns a few dozen
different outfits, show up at the office one day wearing the same top and
very similar slacks. With uncanny repetition, everyone they encounter
together teases them about being "twins".
