Introduction and organ pictures

Antique reed organs, often called "pump organs", have been my hobby for over 30 years. Enjoy some of these gems from the 19th Century by clicking on the links below. My collection has about 100 instruments in it.

Mason and Hamlin 3 Manual/Pedal

One of the most interesting instruments in the collection is the fabulous Mason and Hamlin 3 manual and pedal instrument from the early 1890's. I have owned two of these!! The specifications include a 32' stop in the pedal!! Click here.

Calliopes

Antique calliopes have also become an interest. This is a Cozatt Calliope, operated by air. It has 44 brass whistles. Calliopes (called "Kally-ohps" by circus people) are loud, and their main purpose is to create Ballyhoo. Usually found in circuses, carnivals, parades, and steamboats (usually operated by steam). If you need to attract attention---> give me a call!
