Jonathan's Naval Winging
Jacksonville, Florida
February 22, 2008

Shelia, Antoine and I (Calvin) went to Florida in February to attend Jonathan's Naval Winging ceremony at the Naval Station in Jacksonville.  The pictures on this web page are from that trip.

This is Jonathan and Shelly's parakeet sitting on his favorite perch.  Keet is his name.

Keet with Antoine, best of friends.

Following Jonathan and Shelly from their apartment to the base.

I guess just read the sign- and figure out where we are :)

At the base entrance, waiting for a pass, watching a plane like what Jonathan flies in, landing.

Picnic on base, on a river I believe, not bad weather for February.

There is a collection of old planes on base at "Patriot's Grove"

Jonathan at his duty station on the plane- when we climbed up and toured the plane.
For those who are wondering - the planes are not handicap accessible-
But Antoine did "climb" the ladder and toured the plane too.

George and Helen Jatko at Jonathan and Shelly's apartment.
They toured the plane in the morning too.
The ceremony was in the afternoon.
