Lake Nuangola

Located in Nuangola off exit 43 of I8I, it was also known as the "Three Corner Pond" or "Triangular Lake". The lake was the site of the Grove Theater, or the Nuangola Playhouse from 1934 to 1959.

Kirby Episcopal House

The F.M. Kirbys, family of the dime store magnate, lived at the top of Glen Summit in a 26-room mansion during the summer. This home was built in 1915, and has 2-feet thick walls and ceilings with elaborate plaster moldings. There is a Japanese garden, lily ponds, streams, and a waterfall. The home and grounds were given to the Episcopalian church in 1955, and it is still used as a convention center for religious, educational, and charity organizations
