WVIA PUBLIC BROADCASTING - July 2000 to November 2005

  • Vice President, Corporate Communications
  • Responsible for increasing visibility and improving media relations for PBS and NPR affiliate public broadcasting station WVIA, with over 18,000 members.  Develop and manage web site to enhance audience engagement and cross-platform content, write news releases and employee communications, create advertising and event promotion media and edit monthly print news magazine and program guide with a circulation of over 30,000.
  • Serve on management team to guide operations, provide creative input and a sense of public opinion.

COMMONWEALTH TELEPHONE ENTERPRISES - October 1979 to July 2000

  • General Manager of Epix Internet Services Division – Conceived & developed initial venture and later managed division to 45,000 customers.
