I enjoy camping and Hockey!

My main day job is in Television Engineering  at  where I started over 37 years ago.  WBRE-TV is owned by Nexstar Broadcasting Group, and we also provide programming, news and engineering support for WYOU-TV and operate out of the same building. Both WBRE and WYOU have manned Master Controls. WBRE is NBC and WYOU is CBS.

In my spare hours, I write commercial software for several companies.

I have been married to a wonderful woman, Helen, for 35 years. Together we love camping, and our two Cockapoo's, Annie and Abbey. Here are our three former pets. Buffy ,passed away, shy of his 14th birthday, on Memorial Day, 2008, and Ginger is our lovable 14 year old Cocker Spaniel, who went to Rainbow Bridge on Friday, February 10, 2006 at 12 noon. . Waylan was our 13 year old cat we acquired from the SPCA at age 8 and he passed over Rainbow Bridge on July 2, 2004 Originally from Dunkirk, NY, I've resided in Dallas, PA. over 34 years. In those years, the population has more than doubled to its present 2,567! This was mostly due to the Flood of   '72 forcing people like us to higher ground from the Wyoming Valley.

We sold our camper last year due to rising fuel costs and an aging vehicle that we had limped home in the prior season.

I served in the Navy on the USS Independence, and was on it when it became the first East Coast ship to go to Viet Nam in the spring of 1965.  Education includes various trade schools, MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering, and PSU  (Penn State University) along with credits from various night schools.

Kids from Western NY now visit  Darien Lake but as kids, we went across the lake to the wonderful Crystal Beach and swam in the beautiful and clean Canadian side of Lake Erie and rode the Comet. The park closed in 1989. Helen and  I visited the park often in our early years and stopped recently at the waffle house, which is a mini museum. Other parks included Celeron Park in Celeron, NY, relative* Lucile Ball's home town.

I have written, or ported over, many software packages for PowerBASIC. This includes QuickPak Professional for PowerBASIC as published by Crescent Software, and distributed by  and the entire Elltech line as distributed by Information Management Systems. The DOS packages are now out of distribution and many Windows DLL's are now underway, including Screensavers and Registry tools, which are at my commercial site.

Previously, as sysop in the PowerBASIC forum on CompuServe Interactive, I maintained the files uploaded by users in the heyday of CompuServe.. With the advent of the Internet, the CompuServe area is becoming a desert and the main support area is now at http://www.powerbasic.com. The CompuServe forum closed in 2000.

As a Charter Member of the AHL's largest Booster Club, I am on the Board of Directors as editor of its' newsletter, 'The Tip of the Iceberg'. Contact me for any information on this

* My father's first wife was a cousin to Lucille Ball. We visited her parents often as kids.
