Rome Township Monthly Meeting

November 6, 2014

Attendees: Roy Keiper, Ed Wall, Priscilla Keeney – John George arrived at 7:10 p.m.

Visitors : Robert & Mary Beebe

Roy Keiper called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m

No Public Comment.

Approval of Minutes:

Ø Roy Keiper made the motion to accept the minutes from the October 14, 2014, regular monthly meeting, and the October 30, 2014, workshop. Ed Wall seconded, all agreed, motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Ø Roy Keiper made the motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report with an amendment. Check 1642 written to Bradco on the bill list, was voided and a new check will be issued once a credit for $1800 is received. Ed Wall seconded, all agreed, motion carried.

Ø Roy Keiper made the motion to advertise the proposed 2015 Budget, Ed Wall seconded, all agreed, motion carried.

Road Department Report

Ø Getting ready for winter.

Ø Tree trimming has been going on

Ø The grader from Litchfield Township is here

Ø The old grader – cost to fix over $4,000. Better off to sell as is, but are still checking on options

Ø Roy Keiper made the motion to sell the GMC Pickup, the equipment trailer, and miscellaneous tires on Municibid, Ed Wall seconded, all agreed, motion carried.

Suit-Kote Contested Invoice

Roy stated that a letter needs to be sent to Suit-Kote requesting the following items:

1. Suit-Kote’s warranty policy in writing

2. Lab results from the core tests that were taken

3. Stone and E11 compatibility

4. Written guarantee that the stone purchased from Lopke will hold up

5. How long should we expect the surface treatment to last

The invoice should not be considered past due, until the above items are addressed. Rome Township needs to have a response by the next public meeting and invite Suit-Kote to attend the meeting.

Ed Wall made the motion to adjourn the meeting and pay the bills, Roy Keiper seconded, all agreed, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
