Just wanted you to know I did find the Class of 1968 Home Page. I know it is still under construction, but I want you to know I think it is a great idea. You are doing a great job!
If you are adding EMail addresses to this, please include mine which is (PollyLong@aol.com). It would be great to hear from former classmates.
Unfortunately my husband and I will not be able to attend this year, however, we do hope it will be a very successful 30th reunion for everyone who is able to join in the festivities.
We just bought a new home here in Florida after being transferred back here in February. We were living up in Annapolis,MD for about 15 months. We are so happy to be back to the place that we have called home for so many years. All our children and grandchildren live only about a 20 to 30 minute drive from us in Sarasota,FL., which is where we had lived since 1979.
God bless all of you on the planning committee with the successful plans for
making the reunion an enjoyable evening for everyone.
Love,
Polly Anne
Happy to say that I will be attending this year's reunion. I think that the web page is a great idea and you're doing a good job with it. I look forward to being able to re-establish contact with classmates through e-mail.
I still live here in Raleigh, NC with my wife and three daughters, ages 8, 6, and 6 months. I moved here in 1980, and intend to stay here for keeps. I got married at 37 and children at 39, so while most of my classmates are settling into life with the children grown and gone, I'm still getting used to being Daddy. I think that this is the end of the babies, as the doctor told me what was causing them.
I am still a pawnbroker, as any other occupation would invole some form of work. My hobbies include computers (Mac's), scanners, wood/metalworking in my shop, my beloved John Deere tractor(455 Diesel), and puttering around the house and yard. I usually don't actually fix anything, but I like to look like I am.
Best wishes to all, and please send e-mail to

Hi Bob!
So glad that all of you are doing such a good job on the reunion.I was unable to help this year as my husband and I are building a garage and we are using all of our spare time to do this.We are always busy and I would not be able to help you as much as I should. With work and all, life is busy.
We are fine and are planning to attend the reunion.I just hope that alot will come as time is going by so fast that we never know when,or if ,it would be possible to see each other again.
I am very saddened about the loss of Larry,as he had been a close friend of mine since first grade.I hope that the family may be contacted by those of us that knew him well.Life is precious and so are memories.
Again,I hope to see alot there, but if it is not possible then I hope that it will be possible to contact them through e-mail to see how things are going.
Anyone that would like to write me may do so at bethitch@epix.net
I would love to hear from all who can.Thaks for making it possible,Bob.

Dear Bob:
It was great hearing from you the other night. My husband
thought I turned into a teenager again. It felt like a blast from the
past. The flood gates of memories started to pour open. It hasn't
stopped. The web page is great and I hope I can hear from some of my
former classmates. I am afraid I can not make the reunion. My daughter
and her husband are going to make me a grandmother in August. (Due date
is August 20) It will be my first grandchild and I don't think I should
miss out on the event. My daughter has had a couple of miscariages so we
feel God has blessed us this time.
I plan on e-mailing Polly and Tom. I think Tom needs his head
examined!!! But we all thought that in 1968 so why should it change.
Again it was great hearing from you and I hope to hear from my other
classmates.

Thanks for the note re: Larry Stethers. I was out of town for the weekend and had several e-mails about same when I returned. It's very sad when old friends pass away from any cause. It gives you a renewed sense of your own mortality and the ephemeral nature of life itself. I have only seen Larry three times since graduation, but he remains an inextricable part of my past. We were in class together for 12 years and I always respected him and the choices he made in life. He had a competitive, no-quit nature about him that I always admired. He made some hard choices in life and stuck with them and did the right thing. I will always remember him. My sympathies are with his family.

Hi Bob,
I want to thank you for taking the time to put your talents and knowledge to work for our class!! The web page is excellent. I check into it every so often to see what's new. I've enjoyed the two messages posted so far and hope more of our classmates will send messages. I finally decided to write to you instead of just lurking!!
I would like to give you my change of address. Actually, I haven't
moved but the Wyalusing Post Office needed to change route numbers. My
new address is:
RR 4 Box 4161
Wyalusing PA 18853
I also keep in contact with Marietta McMicken Weller. I noticed her
address is incorrect on our web site. Following is her correct address:
134 Skyline Drive
Landenberg PA 19350
For our classmates who live out of the area and don't read the "Wyalusing Rocket" or "The Daily Review", perhaps you might want to post the following information:
Larry Stethers passed away last Wednesday ( June 3). A private family service was held graveside at the Camptown Cemetery on June 6. There will be a Memorial Service for Larry at the Homer Funeral Home in East Wyalusing on Friday, June 12 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Family and friends are invited for fellowship and food in a celebration of Larry's life.
Lanny Potter passed away on January 14, 1997 in Florida. A small chapel service was held for Lanny in FL at that time. There will be a graveside memorial service at the Quicks Bend Cemetery on Sunday, June 14 at 2:00 PM for Lanny.
Would you please add my e-mail address to the others? Thanks again for
this great opportunity to keep in touch!! I hope to attend our reunion
in August. Thanks to the committee members who are making a reunion
happen!!
Sincerely,
Maureen (Tiffany) Downs
