Financial Aid Search Through the Web
Several university libraries have collaborated on a project that helps health care practitioners find useful materials with online access. HealthWeb was created by libraries at the Big Ten universities, Univ. of Chicago, and the Univ. of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Librarians and health professionals at each school have critically evaluated and compiled a variety of useful sites, each categorized by discipline.
The NASA/JSC Learning Technologies Project provides affordable networking software to enrich the K-12 education process. ILIAD is an offline, email Web agent that serves vision impaired computer users and teachers who have minimal computing resources. SIMON is an Internet access and management tool that retrieves, organizes and presents Internet information through an optimized local area network.
