| ~ New Additions October 9, 2003 ~ No new project but wanted to share this great
mini idea I came across a few days ago.... A use for those throw
away AOL cds that seem to be everywhere I go. They are easy to
cut with ordinary scissors and can be turned into mini mirrors.
I love the opportunities for recycling things into mini objects. What worked best for me was to score
the shape with a straight edge and razor knife. Score deeply.
Once you have your shape scored just take a pair of scissors
and cut on the scored lines. Voila- mirrors! You might try this with some of the printable
                  frames on the accessories
page using the picture portion of the printable as a template
for cutting the mirrors. I already have a project in the works
that will incorporate this idea into a bathroom mirror and vanity
so check back soon. October 7, 2003 ~ Now we're cooling! For those of you wondering
where to put all that mini food you cooked with your mini stove,
here's the answer- a mini refrigerator! October 1, 2003 ~ Now we're cooking! I've been working on this
project off and on for a few months and always ended up wanting
to stick my head in the oven! A recent request from a visitor
pushed me to complete this mini
stove with a door that opens. It comes as three graphics
that will each need to be downloaded and printed. Just in time
for your holiday baking! September 26, 2003 ~
Another project inspired by a visitor-
'Wee Tea' boxes can be found in the Junk
                  Drawer September 11, 2003 ~
I've received a number of inquiries
recently about noncommercial use of these graphics. I thought
some info about terms and conditions of use
might be helpful so added a page about that. I hope all visitors
will take a few minutes to read it. July 9, 2003 ~ Added graphics for oriental
shoji screens. There is a plain and a decorated version. March 19, 2003 ~ Some new wall art - a mini clipper ship in an
ornate gold frame was added to the Accessories
page. March 17, 2003 ~ Added a picture of some polymer clay "go
                  withs" for the mini
hibachi grill. See the bottom of the page. Included instructions
for boil curing polymer clays. March 15, 2003 ~ I've been playing with wood textures for future
printables and thought they might be useful to some of you in
sheet form. Some printable "planks" that may be suitable
for stairs and short hallways can be found in the Junk
Drawer March 13, 2003 ~ Added wallpapers and borders that coordinate
with the nautical quilts. See the bottom of the Mariner's
Compass Quilt page. Some nautical flags can be found at the
bottom of the Flags page. March 11, 2003 ~ By request, added a Confederate Southern Cross
flag. Find it in the historic flag section at the bottom of the
Flags page. March 8, 2003 ~ I added a few more flags a few weeks ago. Scotland,
Ireland, and Wales are available on the Flags
page. Added a new printable quilt with a nautical
theme in four different colors. Mariner's
Compass Quilt To continue the nautical theme... a printable
miniature treasure chest with domed lid. Mini treasure chest Matching wallpapers and borders to come
......... October 20, 2002 ~ The holidays are just around the corner! Here's
a small Christmas project to help you make the season merry,
                  an Old Fashioned Ornament Box
adapted from my personal vintage collection, to fill with your
favorite mini holiday treasures. September 30, 2002 ~
                  Some links were transcribed incorrectly
when I updated this page on the 17th. Any one who had trouble
reaching the B&W images or the baby items should find them
now from the links below. My humble apologies to all who were
inconvenienced. Here's another small new addition. This
one is an adaptation of an old box I found while cleaning out
the garage. It's for furniture polish from a local store and
company long out of business. I think it probably dates from
the 30's. See it and get it here: ~Old
                  Time Mini Shine~ 10 K September 17, 2002 ~
Just a note to let you know this
site is still active. Thanks for your patience. I've enjoyed
your notes and messages. Please keep them coming! I try to answer
as many as time permits. I became a grandma in May and have been
enjoying the new mini addition to our family. Good things really
do come in small packages! I've worked on a few pieces that never
really got off the ground, but finally!, a new but small project
I'm happy with. Hope you like it, too. This is derived from a
scan of an old player piano music roll box. Player pianos and
roll collecting are another hobby of mine. See and download the mini piano roll
graphic here:~Old Time Mini Player Piano

I'll be adding black and white versions of some of my furniture
printables for those of you without color printers. You might
try printing these on colored cardstock or cardboard. Here's the first, ~B&W
Folk Art Hope Chest~. Try using the lining as a template
to cut your own patterned lining from wallpaper or wrapping paper
                  scraps. January 31, 2002 ~
added individual graphics for each of the three US flags available
on the larger Stars and Stripes graphic. See them on the ~Flags of the World~ page. Also added a
new link to a site about US flag etiquette and history. I'm continuing to play with the layout
of the site redesign. Hopefully in the end it will display well
in all screen resolutions. If you have any problems, please ~email
                  me~ January 30, 2002 ~"Sounds"
like there's a new printable in town! ~click
here~ for the latest mini project! Also available on the
                  ~accessories~
                  page. January 26, 2002 ~A
zip file containing all four kitchen cabinet graphics is now
                  available on the ~furniture~
page. Uncompress the file after saving it to your desktop. You'll
need a file compression/expansion utility like WinZip (Windows)
or StuffitExpander (Mac) to open the zip. Two broken links to the top kitchen cabinet
graphics were discovered and fixed. Thanks Sherri for bringing
this to my attention! I always appreciate hearing about errors
so they can be corrected........and apologize for any frustration
the bad links may have caused. A new project will be here any day.........
                  Stay "tuned"! January, 22, 2002 ~Stars
and Stripes and Miniature World Flags are back for download.
There are about 45 different flags available. If you don't see
your country on the list, drop me a note and I'll create one
and make it available here. You'll find the link to Stars and Stripes
at the bottom of the world flag page. This graphic includes 3
versions of the US flag from colonial times to the present. A
                  matching bunting is included.
                    ~World Flags/ Stars
and Stripes~ A small project from the old site version
got missed in the update ...... a coordinating waste basket for
the album quilt bedroom ensemble. This will print on a large
index card. Album Quilt Waste Basket January 21, 2002 ~As
many of you who've visited before can see, this site has undergone
a redesign. Hope you'll find the new streamlined version to be
easier to use and navigate. PDF files have been removed for the
time being but will return at a later date. The flags of the
world are momentarily unavailable but should return by the end
of the week. I have some new furniture projects in
mind that I'll be working on in the weeks ahead. We'll see how
those go :^)........ I also plan on compressing some of the graphic
files into sets that will be available for download as zips. I really love to hear from you and enjoy
all your notes. Drop me a line via email. Or add your entry to
                  the World
Friendship Book created to bring us together and make this
big old world a little smaller. As we all know, small is a *good*
thing! Thanks for bearing with me through the
site changes. If you find broken links or graphics, please let
me know. Happy crafting!-chris Thanks for visiting! :^) ~ back to top ~
